Policies
The following page includes all major school polices and classroom policies. If you have any questions about these policies, please contact me via email, or schedules meeting.
Technology
The interrogations of technology is important in a classroom, but there is always a "time and place". Cell phones will only be used in the classroom when students have been told they are allowed. 'Tech On" times. Any inappropriate use of tech during class time, will be an immediate taking of the cell phone for the rest of the block. If the cell phone is take a second time in one day, it will be brought to the vault and a parent/guardian will be required to retrieve it.
There will be points of time when students can bring in their device. (iPad, laptop, tablets). Again, during "tech on" times, will they be allowed to use their device. The same rule applies to these devices as it does cell phones.
If a parents needs to contact a student, they can call the office. (780) 799-5725, they will then direct the call as needed.

Missing/Misplaced/Stolen Work Booklets
Due to limitation on classroom space, students will be responsible for their own work booklet, loose paper and assignments. They will be required to put their name and number on the cover, and to take care of it. (No missing pages, tear, rips or other way of missing core work)
Students are also required to have a binder/do-a-tang/folder/notebook for their course. This is where there written work, answers and paragraphing will be placed.
Students will only be getting ONE printed copy from the teacher of their booklet. No extra copies will be made available, due to printing limitations. No exceptions will be made to this policy.
In the event that a work booklet has been misplaced, stolen, or destroyed, the student is responsible for printing off their new work booklet, or the missing pages required to have a complete booklet. Again, NO extra copy will be provided by the teacher.

Student Materials
Having the correct materials (workbook, questions book, textbook, assigned homework etc.) is important in ensuring success. If a student does not come to class with the correct materials, they are required to leave the classroom to get the materials and miss instruction.
Absent from Class
If a student is absent from class, for any reason, it is their responsibility to catch up on their missing work. (Reading assignments, questions, power points etc.) I can help during my flex time, but it will be the students responsibility to get their work out of the "While You Were Out" folders, read the homework board, and complete the assigned work.
